An Action Shot

There has been a request for more action shots on the build.  So here is a shot of the crane that was used to lift the ridge beam above the guest area.  Apologies that there is no shot of the beam going into position but I was up on a ladder guiding the beam into position at the time.

The last of the Valley Rafters

This week saw the three other valley rafters go up.  This allowed us to put up some rafters, battens, collar ties and outriggers.  Starting to get a lot of timber up in the roof area now.

Monday is a public holiday down here but we are still working on the roof - something about the boss not seeing a leave app in time :)  Hopefully see some of the clerestory window done this week.

Outriggers and Battens

Once the wet weather cleared we didn't have a bad week on the roof.  Nearly finished the guest area roof.  Have fitted the majority of outriggers and battens and it is looking very good.  Also put in the ceiling joists that are also acting as collar ties.

Managed to also fit the valley boards.  So next week we should be moving back towards the main ridge beam.
